Image file-size range tool
Compress an image between 20KB and 50KB
This tool targets a portal-safe maximum of 49,152 bytes and verifies that the final image is also at least 20,480 bytes. If a good-quality image is smaller than the minimum, Uploadable reports Best result instead of adding meaningless data.

Current upload rules
- Minimum file size: 20KB (20,480 bytes)From “Minimum 20KB range boundary”
- Maximum file size: 50KB (49,152 bytes)From “Maximum 50KB quick target”
Your image is processed in browser memory and is not uploaded to Uploadable servers.
Between 20KB and 50KB is not the same as under 50KB
An under-50KB rule has only an upper boundary. A 20KB–50KB rule has two boundaries, so a 15KB file fails even though it is under 50KB. Uploadable checks both limits from the actual generated file.
Why Uploadable does not enlarge a small file
Adding random bytes, unused metadata, or visual noise would create a misleading result. When the best output is below 20KB, the tool keeps the honest file and labels it Best result so you can decide how the destination handles it.
How to compress an image between 20KB and 50KB
Set the verified range, provide one image, then process and check the final result locally.
- Confirm the 20KB–50KB range
Review the prefilled minimum of 20KB and maximum of 50KB, including the exact portal-safe byte boundaries.
- Choose, drop, or paste one image
Provide a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Uploadable automatically inspects its real size, format, and dimensions on your device.
- Process and verify the output
Choose Make it uploadable, then check the original-to-output summary and final Ready to upload or Best result status.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the output is below 20KB?
The minimum-size rule fails and the result is labeled Best result. Uploadable does not add random bytes, unused metadata, or visual noise to make the file look compliant.
Why is the maximum 49,152 bytes instead of 51,200 bytes?
The visible 50KB target includes a small safety margin for upload portals that use different KB definitions or apply strict boundary checks. The exact byte value remains visible before processing.
Does the image leave my device?
No. Selection, drag-and-drop, clipboard paste, inspection, processing, and validation all run in browser memory.
