How it works
From upload rule to verified file
Uploadable turns the requirements shown by another website into checks that run in your browser. It inspects, processes, and validates supported images and PDFs locally before offering a result to download.
The five-step workflow
- Enter the technical requirements shown by the destination website.
- Review the rules Uploadable can enforce and resolve any ambiguity.
- Select an image or PDF and inspect its actual type, bytes, dimensions or pages, protection, and supported metadata.
- Review planned format, geometry, metadata, or PDF quality changes and confirm irreversible trade-offs.
- Process the file locally and validate the generated file against every confirmed rule.
What local processing means
Supported file bytes stay in browser memory and browser Workers. Uploadable does not provide an upload endpoint for source files or generated results. Optional analytics excludes filenames, exact file sizes, document content, metadata, thumbnails, and pasted requirements.
How results are verified
File size is measured from the generated result rather than estimated. Images are decoded again to verify format and dimensions. PDFs are parsed again to verify their real byte size and page count. Automated unit and browser tests cover the requirement parser, processing plans, final validation, and supported desktop and mobile flows.
What “Ready to upload” means
Ready to upload means the generated file matches the technical rules you entered and that Uploadable can verify. It does not guarantee acceptance by a third party with additional or unpublished rules. When a safe target cannot be reached, the tool reports Best result instead of claiming success.
Safety limits
Browser memory and codec support vary. Password-protected PDFs are blocked, and PDFs with detected forms or signatures are not rasterized. Destructive PDF compression and transparency-changing image conversions require explicit confirmation before processing.
